When I was pregnant, I held out on buying maternity workout clothing to fit my growing midsection because I didn't want to be stuck with large clothes after. Who wants to spend their money on clothes they'll only wear for a couple of weeks anyway?
So when I realized that my Stonewear Designs clothes were fitting me week after week, I was elated! From 10 weeks on, you could catch me climbing, hiking, or taking walks decked out in something Stonewear. The tops were comfortable, but what really helped were the bottoms. Whether it was my Rockin' Capris, Nimble Shorts, or Rockin' Pants, I never felt like my belly was restricted from doing what I wanted. The materials used for the bottoms stretched enough to hug my belly, but also kept their shape. No muffin-topping here! They're also heavy duty (for those days you feel like getting closer to nature) but also light enough to wear on a sweltering hot day.
OR on the day you give labor.
Yep, you guessed it! The only thing I felt comfortable enough to wear to the hospital when I gave birth was my Rockin' Capri (plus one of my husband's t-shirts because I felt like a whale in anything else). The weather was mild (I was neither hot nor cold in the capris), they didn't look like pajamas, and they had a pocket on the side where I kept my cell phone in case I needed to make any calls. I made the decision to change into them before I tried to go to bed that evening and it was probably for the best since I had to head to the hospital a couple of hours after that. Anyway, I digress. Below are some photos I took throughout my pregnancy while wearing my Stonewear outfits. Some of the photos may look familiar if you followed my blog posts these past 10 months, but here they are again. ;)

I was worried that once I had my baby, the clothes wouldn't go back to their original size, especially when my belly went from being mostly flat to the size of a basketball. But I was pleasantly surprised that I could wear them postpartum. Here's a pic I took 2 weeks postpartum while working my way back to walking/running. You can see how the Electra Tank held its shape and how the Rockin' Pants still fit perfectly. My belly still hasn't gone back to pre-pregnancy size yet, but I'm sure the clothes will still fit after I lose all the pregnancy weight.
Sometimes, you come across a great clothing line and Stonewear Designs is just that. And because the ladies at Stonewear are so great, they've sent over a couple of their tank tops for me to giveaway to Climb On, Sister! readers. :)
